General Position Statement

Pedal Ahead 501c3 has secured various forms of funding since beginning operations in 2020, according to the contract terms of each grant or donation, financial audits were periodically conducted, or at the conclusion of respective agreements.

Transparency has always been a top priority and emphasized by our compliance to contract terms, reviews by the Grantor and findings from the listed audits. In total 8 audits have been conducted, to include 2 of which that were completed by a third-party independent accounting firm.

The following list each successful completion to satisfy respective contracts.

2.County Supervisor District 1: $25,000

3.County Supervisor District 4: $25,000

  • Community Enhancement Grant

4.SANDAG: $440,000

  • Electric Bicycle Mobility Pilot

5.Vanguard Charitable Trust/Left Coast Fund: $500,000

  • Pedal Ahead Loan to Own program

6.California Air Resources Board (CARB): $10,000,000

  • E-Bike Incentive Project

 

Moore Business Management Group – Independent audits

    • Report Findings: “In our opinion, the financial statements referred to above present fairly, in all material respects, the financial position of Pedal Ahead as of December 31, 2023, and the changes in its net assets and its cash flows for the year then ended, in accordance with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America.”

 

The Pedal Ahead 501c3 organization is current on federal and state tax filings including charitable trust registration.

As a public facing organization we remain committed to service over self and we will remain diligent in compliance plus providing factual data in support of program integrity. The 12 people working with the organization to ensure a high standard of performance are commended for their work ethics.
